Healing…. Ding, Ding, Ding. Ring that bell for the lost and hurting.

Hmmm… John G. Lake. A man invested in carrying God’s Presence with him. I wonder how much time he spent looking after and studying God’s Word. Not many ministries have shut the local hospital down because everyone was getting healed.
To the folks out there who are really walking in the Power of God and changing the lives you touch. Thank you!!
We know it’s tough out there. I was just reading about how John Alexander Dowie had harshly criticized John G. Lake and to most that would have probably shut them down and they would have given up. I can’t imagine the hurt that he felt when Dowie blasted him. John G Lake was indeed a better man as Dowie ” prophesized”
But John G. Lake knew God and went on to become quite a witness in history. Unlike Dowie.
Don’t get me wrong. John Alexander Dowie at one time did have a tremendous ministry and touched many lives. But when He thought more highly of himself than he should have, everything pretty well fell to pieces. Probably a good lesson for all of us.
With Christ all things are possible. When we start thinking that we are something amazing…. Well pride comes before a fall.
As we have seen lately, any minister that starts thinking they are above the scriptures and does not think it is wrong to harm others or be involved in sin are setting themselves up for a huge failure.
Being hateful and ugly to people because you are in a position above them does not please our Father. Why does it shock us when unbelievers won’t go to church. As mentioned in the previous excerpt from “Adventures in God” Bullying people into a confession of salvation, baptism, or church doesn’t work. However, walking in the power of God and seeing him work in unbelievers is something I can’t describe. But to see the look on one hurting all of the sudden say “It’s gone. The pain is gone!” Then they move around as if trying to make it hurt again and say “It’s really gone”. Now that.. ding, ding, ding, rings within them and they can’t wait to become a part of the Father’s family. Where Christ is lifted up. People will come.

A Place called There.
A place called there. I’ve been listening to a series from Andrew Wommack ministries called the Lessons from Elijah. If you have wondered why things are not working out the way you think, this is the series for you. If you think you are not qualified to do what God has put on your heart, then it’s definitely for you.
Elijah had a word from God. Even though the professional world thought he was weird and unqualified, he was bold and delivered it anyway. Do you ever feel. “If I do that people will think I’m weird.” Actually, depending on the circumstance people will think you are weird if you don’t do what God desires from you. Take participating in Worship for example. Generally if there is a worship leader/team, they will demonstrate freedom in worship. So typically it’s more than ok to sing, raise hands, etc. If a person refuses to worship because they are concerned about how they look.. Well here’s the kicker… not participating looks more weird than participating plus more people will notice you.
Anyway, God wants you to have the freedom to just be. Be faithful, be creative, be free, be prosperous, be in health, and be happy.
Your place called “There” is where your “life”,your Zoe life, is. Where you prosper, grow, have joy and peace. If you feel like a dried up forgotten flower sitting on a back porch, your not living the Zoe life.
Get alone with God and find out what was the last thing he told you to do. Then, as some clever marketing people made the idea famous, get on with it. No matter how you feel, no matter how tired you are or unmotivated. “Just do it!” Do what God has called you to do and move on to Your place called “There.”

Abusive churches: When it’s time to move on.
Mat 10:14 “If someone won’t welcome you or listen to your message, leave their home or town. And shake the dust from your feet at them.” CEV.
Some versions of this scripture say receive you instead of Welcome. It’s pretty easy to tell when you are not welcome nor received. Don’t think of it as rejection think of it as redirection. Move on to where God is moving you. Don’t pitch your tent when the Cloud or Fire of God are moving. Don’t waste time in the desert, keep on following God and he will lead you to your promised land.

We are not Ninnies…
Every time I hear something in the news that is anti Christian it generally makes me dread Sunday. Why? Well how many Pastors will take time away from sharing the Gospel and Worship to moan, whine and cry like ninnies with no hope.
We are not the world so we don’t need to act like it. We have a hope. We have an all things are possible God. We have the Holy Ghost! Intercede on behalf of your State and Country take the time you would worry, and wring your hands and pray instead. Have a time of prayer instead of bringing fear and doubt to the pulpit. Have some faith and pray in Godly candidates and leaders. Pray before you vote and Vote every time there is an election. God needs the Body of Christ to do their job not pull the covers over their head and shake in fear.
Thank God for the churches out there that activate their faith instead of fear during challenging times. That’s what people need. They need the Good news. They need the word. After a week of who knows what people need Jesus and a time of worship and faith building messages. Not a rebroadcast of worldly news. They know what was on the news probably watched it all week. They need to know what the Bible says and activate their faith for the next week.
Next time you listen to the news instead of letting it activate Fear, let it activate FAITH instead. Stop what you are doing turn off the TV or radio and PRAY! Don’t wait until Sunday to bring your fears to Church and get others upset and start a group of hand wringing. Lets Praise God for answers and solutions and start a group of hand raising to our awesome and powerful God instead. AMEN!

Getting your day started right…Boot Camp day 1
Still having challenges knowing how to get your day started?? The one thing I also like to do in August is get back to the basics of FLYing.
It goes hand in hand with Boot Camp. By the end of Boot Camp and getting back to the babysteps of Flying a brand new person emerges ready to take on the challenges of Fall.
Check out flylady.net I once prayed to God…. “God I need help!!!! How in the world am I ever going to do anything for you? Help me take care of my home and take care of myself.” Somebody posted on a yahoo group something about a Flylady the next day.
I googled it and have been a flybaby since 2006. It works. You will not believe how much time you will have to study the word and be available to minister to friends and family.
Oh one more thing…. You’ll get your weekends back. All you need to do on Saturday and Sunday is spend time with your family having fun. Sundays be prepared to minister or be a student of the Word and really enjoy time resting and renewing yourself.

If you have never heard of Joyce Meyer she is a scriptural, teacher that is humorous, fun, and just a joy to listen to. They picked a good name when they called her JOYce. Don’t be fooled….you will walk away with training.
I love Boot Camp! It amazes me how I can learn something new every time. Yes God has blessed her with a truly unique approach that is real. She is a real person with real emotions and has fallen into the same traps as many of us have. God however has brought her through the toughest of tragedies and lifted her up to heights she never dreamed were possible. You to can dare to believe that God is for you and not against you.
Can’t wait till the next week???? Season 1 and Season 2 are online also. So how many videos can you watch in one day??? Well it depends on you. How many Videos can you watch and do? Watch the video learn the concepts and be a doer of the word. You may need to watch one video more that once so you can actually do what you learned.
Scriptures for Health 1
This is not a complete list of the healing scriptures I have run across through the years that various ministries have highlighted. I will be adding a Scriptures for Health 2 which will be a list of all the scriptures I have run across over the years from various ministries. A few ministries have made some available on bookmarks etc. Just google “healing Scriptures” and the search will take you to various ministries.
Recommended Prescription: Read these scriptures twice a day: If necessary increase dosage as there are no side effects.
Exodus 15:26 and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”
Exodus 23:25 So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.
Psalms 91:9-10 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
Psalms 91:14-16 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.”
Psalms 103:1-5 A Psalm of David. Bless the Lord O my soul; and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Psalms 107: 19-21 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men.
Isaiah 40:29,31 He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength…But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Matthew 8:16-17 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the Prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.”

Keeping the Fire Burning.
This is the first Sunday after… After Camp-meeting. How do we take Camp-meeting home with us? Whether you were in Oklahoma, Florida, or other places the message was basically the same. Get back to the basics of the Gospel, renew our mind with the word of God, and get fired up/stirred up to show the light of the Good News to everyone around us.
One way to keep the fire burning is to stay focused on the truth. This is something you can do on your own.
- Read the word of God. Proverbs 4: 20-22. Attend to the Word of God for it is Life…
- Focus on what the word says and not wives tales. “God is using my sickness to teach me something”, God will get glory out of my sickness. It is embarrassing to hear this come out of people’s mouths because they have just revealed that they know nothing about what the Bible actually says but instead rely on rumors they have heard or read instead of actual scripture.
- Get around other people who actually read the Bible and enjoy talking about the truth.
- Try to find a church that actually preaches the Gospel and you need a Bible with you when you go. (You know you are not going to remember one word up on that screen other than who was called to the nursery)
- The internet is full of websites and teachers that preach the actual Gospel and not all this junk that has been passed on from generation to generation. If there is nothing available in your area get online. I generally tweet services that I am attending online. (One thing about online teaching: You will have to verify that what they are preaching is in the Bible. Everyone makes mistakes. Even the best teachers accidentally misquote scriptures, mix up names of Bible people, give out the wrong reference for a scripture etc. Not on purpose it just happens.
Another way to keep the fire burning is get together with like minded Christians and stir each other up.
- Attend an on fire Bible study. A real one not just a bunch of friends that get together and talk nonsense but one that has a purpose and people learn something that can change their life. ex: I know of a Bible study that gathers at a cattle sale barn. It’s not a church and they do not have regular church meetings. Many people of different denominations attend and they teach the Gospel.
- If nothing is available in your area again get online or check your local TV programming. There are a few out there that teach the word.
And finally try to find a place to fellowship and become a part that is Bible based, uplifting, encouraging and spend more time talking about the Gospel than what other people/ministries are doing wrong.
- A place where they help stir up the gifts not stir up the pot.
- It would be more beneficial to attend a good bible based church service once a month that it would be to go weekly to a church that rambles and preaches doctrines of demons, traditional mistruths, and wives tales.
- Do NOT go home from Camp Meeting and try to change your church. As we grow in knowledge and understanding you may need to find a church home that helps you grow instead of hindering your growth. Generally we move on from the nursery, pre-school, elementary, secondary and collegiate education.
- Pray, Pray, Pray.
I encourage you to do what you can on your own and ask God to guide you toward people who enjoy Him as much as you do. If you belong to a Bible Based church that preaches the Gospel then Glory to God for you! Get in and get involved and help become a worker in the field of harvest. Nothing like keeping yourself stirred up by renewing your mind to the truths in the Bible. If your church isn’t Bible based and does not preach the Gospel then you really need to pray to find a Church home that does. (Believe me I know how daunting a task that can be) But keep your chin up and get into the Word!
Ask God and do what His word Says! Keep stirring up the Gifts and devote ourselves to prayer and attending to His word. Being a good steward of ALL that He has given us including our Bodies. And praising Him everyday for what he has done. Let’s not let the embers from the fire of Camp-meeting die out. Keep stirring up the Gifts.
